The Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Family mourns with the family of Sis. Effie Payne who transitioned on Sunday August 23, 2020. Our hearts are heavy from our loss, but filled with joy at heaven's gain. As we grieve and struggle to find the words to express our deep sorrow, take heart in knowing that when words fail, God still hears our prayers. And when oceans rise, He can lift us above the waves.

Effie Mae Strain Payne, 90, of Cottontown, passed from this life on Sunday August 23, 2020 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday August 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Cottontown. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
