Good Evening OGMBC Family!

We hope that this past week has been kind to you and yours, that you and your family are staying safe during these strange times, and that you have been staying connected with one another and the Spirit of God.

We would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who joined us online last week for our first recorded church service. We've worked out all technical difficulties and have streamlined the process. Tomorrow's sermon will be recorded and broadcast in the same manner. Please join us for Sunday School online at 10 am with an abbreviated sermon following at 11 am.

While we tread through uncertain and difficult times, it is important for us to keep our minds and hearts trained on the Lord. A large part of our roles as Christians is coming together and gathering in His name. Unfortunately, current events make this a near impossibility. This is why we have worked on methods for our church family to fellowship as we adhere to the ordinances of social distancing and the state government's 'Safer At Home' order.

It is a challenge for us not to come together, touch and agree, and be refueled by the presence of each other in stressful times. But for the safety of our family, both at church and at home, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church is limiting the amount of in-person activity on the campus. According to the national government's social distancing procedures, no more than ten people are allowed to gather. This means two things for us:

1. All special days and extra/extended services at Oak Grove will be suspended until further notice. While this is a difficult call to make, we will come together on the other side of this pandemic and work to honor all auxiliary and special days at a later time. When it is safe for all of us to gather and fellowship once again.

2. The Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church campus will be closed to the general public. During the recordings for Sunday, members and guests may join us for online services. We will make sure all links are active and working and posted in multiple locations. The services will be archived if you can not join us on the broadcast live. Please do not come to the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church sanctuary during the recordings. This is to limit our exposure to one another during this time and slow/stop the spread of this virus to our more vulnerable community members. We are happy to commune with you online and encourage discussion/participation on our various platforms.

Stay strong, OGMBC family. While we are apart, we are always connected by the Holy Spirit, the Love of God, and our Love for one another.
